Bicycle service terms of use
Version: 2026-08-30-v2
1. Service provider and nature of the service
The bicycle service is provided by Lobios Platform, an independent community initiative. Lobios Platform does not belong to, represent or have any official connection with the Concello de Lobios.
The loan is free of charge and requires no deposit. Bookings and operations are managed through Lobios Bicis.
2. Who can use the service
The service is restricted to people aged 18 or over with a valid user account.
By confirming a booking, the user declares that they are 18 or over and accepts the current version of these terms. Age is checked visually at collection using an official photo identification document.
Lobios Platform does not retain a copy, photograph or number of the identity document as part of this check.
3. Booking rules
- Minimum duration: 30 minutes.
- Configured maximum duration: 900 minutes.
- Minimum notice: 0 minutes.
- A maximum of 2 active bookings per user.
- User cancellation up to 60 minutes before the start time.
- Tuesday to Sunday: 08:00–22:00.
- Monday: closed.
- The booking must start and end within the same service day.
- The service may announce exceptional closure dates.
Availability shown before confirming a booking does not guarantee a bicycle until the transaction has been validated and recorded by the system.
4. Collection in person
Collection is in person and supervised. An authorised member of the service must record the handover.
- The account holder’s identity and adult status are checked visually.
- The appropriate helmet is supplied.
- Collection is recorded in Lobios Bicis.
The bicycle code may only be shown to the account holder after authorised staff have recorded collection and within the time window configured by the service.
If the bicycle is not collected within the grace period of 30 minutes after the planned start, the booking may be marked as a no-show. The system does not apply an automatic penalty for a no-show.
5. Helmet and responsible use
Lobios Platform supplies a helmet with the bicycle. It must be worn throughout the loan period.
The user must take due care of the bicycle and supplied equipment and comply with applicable regulations, signs and traffic rules on the roads, paths or spaces they use.
Use is not restricted to the municipality of Lobios, but the bicycle may only be ridden where cycling is permitted.
6. Damage and incidents
Any damage, fault or significant incident must be reported to Lobios Platform as soon as reasonably possible.
Reporting damage does not automatically imply financial liability. Any subsequent action will be assessed according to the particular circumstances, outside any automatic penalty or charging mechanism in Lobios Bicis.
The bicycle must not continue to be used if a fault could compromise safety.
7. Accidents and emergencies
In an accident or urgent situation, the priority is to request help from the appropriate emergency services. Lobios Platform is not an emergency or immediate assistance service.
When it is safe to do so, the user must report the incident to Lobios Platform via /contacto/.
8. Loss or theft
Loss or theft of the bicycle or supplied equipment must be reported immediately to Lobios Platform via /contacto/.
In the event of theft, the user must also report the theft to the competent authorities.
9. Return
Return is in person and supervised and must take place at the same location where the bicycle was collected.
The bicycle and helmet must be returned within the booked period. Authorised staff record the return and may note any damage or incidents observed.
Late returns and no-shows may be recorded for operational management, but do not by themselves trigger an automatic penalty.
10. Cancellation
The user may cancel a confirmed booking through the provided interface up to 60 minutes before it starts. After that deadline, user cancellation may be disabled and any issues must be handled with the service.
11. Data and acceptance
Lobios Bicis records the version and hash of the accepted terms, the acceptance date and the minimum technical data needed to evidence the transaction and protect the service.
The visual identity check at collection does not involve storing a copy, photograph or number of the document.
If the terms change between opening the form and confirming the booking, the system requires the new version to be loaded and accepted before creating it.
12. Contact
For non-urgent issues concerning a booking, loss, theft, damage or questions about the service: /contacto/.
In an emergency, use the appropriate emergency service; Lobios Platform does not provide immediate emergency assistance.
